Who We Are

Our history begins in 1962 as a Pick your Own stand started by Dietrich and Elizabeth Kuhlmann on a modest stretch of rented land.

We have over 300,000 square feet of greenhouse space, which means we have room for an incredible selection of unique gift ideas, garden décor, tools, and a fantastic floral shop that can cater to any need.

Dietrich Kuhlmann

Owner/Founder

Dietrich started the farm with wife Elizabeth in 1962. He oversees all operations and keeps the wheels turning! He enjoys sharing his experience on many committees in the agriculture industry.

Elizabeth Kuhlmann

Owner/Founder
Working alongside her husband of 52 years, Liz enjoys her office work and looks forward to spring when she can spend time watering plants in the greenhouses. Her favorite flower is the Pansy.

Angela Kruk

Retail Manager
Angela grew up on the farm and has worked with her family all her life. She manages the garden center and is in charge of ordering new products. She is the most knowledgeable with houseplants and their maintenance. She loves chocolate and relaxing with a good book.

Dale Kruk

The Handyman

Dale joined the family when he married daughter Angela in 1982. He is considered the handyman because of his many talents in welding, carpentry, deliveries, potato harvesting and general maintenance of the farm equipment. 

Anita McDonald

The Greenhouse Manager
Anita grew up on the Kuhlmann’s farm and has been involved with her parents’ business her whole life. She is responsible for ordering seed and plants and growing the spring annuals. Her favorite jobs are watering and watching the flowers bloom in the spring.

Doug McDonald

The Farmer
Doug is in charge of seeding, maintaining, and harvesting the market garden. He joined the Kuhlmann family when he married daughter Anita in 1983. He enjoys NASCAR racing and camping in Arizona.

Curtis McDonald

The Tree Guy
Curtis grew up working with his family in the greenhouses and gardens. He enjoyed his time at Olds College learning about horticulture. He takes pride in his knowledge of trees and shrubs, and works in the Nursery-Perennial-Roses area. He has two cats and likes computer games.

Linda McDonald

Office Manager

She enjoys managing the Kuhlmann’s Office and Bookkeeping.
